Marianne Woods, MD, is an esteemed pediatrician on the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group, practicing out of the offices in Northridge, Pasadena, and Van Nuys, California. Her goal is to stay abreast of the latest pediatric advancements. It is also to treat every one of her patients like family and recognize each patient and family as unique and special. She is particularly interested in helping children make healthy lifestyle choices that will carry on into their adult life. She strives to provide the very best medical care with thoughtful explanations, compassion, a good ear to listen, and a smile.
Dr. Woods graduated with honors in biology from California State University Long Beach (CSULB), after which she graduated with a Master of Science in Public Health degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health, Department of Nutrition and Environmental Sciences.
During her studies at UCLA, Dr. Woods was involved in many research projects. Rather than continuing her education in a PhD program, she decided to follow the path that would allow her to succeed in becoming the pediatrician that she always wanted to be. She was accepted at the prestigious Jagiellonian University Medical School in Krakow, Poland, where she graduated with a Medical Degree.
Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Woods participated in the yearlong 5th Pathway Medical Studies Program conducted by the University of California Irvine. Her internship and residency in pediatrics were completed at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Kids & Teens Medical Group, she spent many years working as a staff pediatrician in the Kaiser Permanente Medical System.
Dr. Woods has been a lifelong resident of Southern California and has raised her two sons there. She enjoys music, interacting with people, sports, reading, and being with her family.
