Located on Clareton Drive in Agoura Hills, California, Kids & Teens Medical Group is a general pediatrics practice specializing in newborn care, well-child exams, and adolescent medicine.

The team of board-certified pediatricians also diagnoses and treats common pediatric health conditions, including asthma, autism, and allergies.

Taking an integrated and evidence-based approach to care, the team focuses on child health and well-being, providing vaccinations and nutrition services.

Kids & Teens Medical Group offers health care services seven days a week, including after-hours care and extended evening appointments through their telehealth service.

Meet Our Providers

Pediatrician Mark G. Snyder, MD, FAAP, is excited to be a member of Kids & Teens Medical Group. He joined the medical group in 2017 and sees patients at the practice’s locations in Agoura Hills and West Hills, California. His interests are in general pediatrics.

Dr. Snyder grew up locally in Woodland Hills, California, and graduated from El Camino Real High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering at the University of California San Diego and then earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School.

He completed his pediatrics residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, located in Los Angeles, and worked at Pediatric Affiliates Medical Group. He has always been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has maintained his board certification with the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Snyder’s hobbies outside of work include spending time with family, mountain biking, kayaking, long walks with the family pooch, astronomy/observing the night sky, and keeping up with current events and politics.

Board-certified pediatrician Beth Melin-Perel, MD, FAAP, brings her extensive experience in general pediatrics and child development to the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group. She cares for children throughout the Greater Los Angeles area from the practice’s office in Agoura Hills, California.

Dr. Melin-Perel completed her undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis while on a National Merit scholarship. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in literature.

She attended the University of Arkansas Medical School on a full scholarship and went on to complete her pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She was on the teaching staff at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and active in private practice. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Los Angeles Pediatric Society.

Dr. Melin-Perel and her wonderful husband, Dr. Issie Perel, raised three sons who are now in graduate programs. Dr. Melin-Perel volunteers at the Westminster Free Clinic in Thousand Oaks and enjoys gardening, movies, and healthy cooking in her leisure time.

Negin Kohanfarsi, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Kids & Teens Medical Group, practicing primarily at the West Hills location.

From a very young age, Negin knew that the career she chose had to include two of her greatest passions: science and caring for others. Negin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

After graduating from UCLA, Negin attended the Western University of Health Sciences and received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.

During her free time, Negin enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as baking delicious cakes and pastries.

Locations:

Martin Fineberg, MD, FAAP, is a caring pediatrician who has been working in the San Fernando Valley since 1988. He is a member of the compassionate team at Kids & Teens Medical Group and sees patients in Agoura Hills, Beverly Hills, Encino, and Pasadena, California.

A native of Melbourne, Australia, he studied medicine at The University of Melbourne. He then trained in pediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, followed by a pediatric residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Following residency, he undertook additional training in neonatology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In addition, Dr. Fineberg worked in the area of pediatric hematology/oncology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Fineberg is licensed to practice medicine in California and Australia and was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1985. He was re-certified in 2009 and is current with Maintenance of Certification with the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the California Medical Association and the American Medical Association, and an American Academy member of the Canadian Paediatric Society.

Dr. Fineberg has a special interest in the care of high-risk NICU graduates and children with pulmonary diseases. He is now available for well- and sick-child appointments in the Pasadena and Northridge offices of Kids & Teens Medical Group.

Locations:

Padma Bala, MD, FAAP, is an experienced pediatrician with expertise in both pediatrics and adolescent medicine. She is a member of the compassionate team at Kids & Teens Medical Group, practicing out of the office in San Fernando, California.

Dr. Bala graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College at Madras, India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago, after which she served in the United States Army Medical Corps as a pediatrician with the Rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She then joined Baylor Medical Group in Dallas, Texas, where she consistently achieved the best pediatrician award for many years. Dr. Bala moved to Los Angeles to be close to her first grandchild.

Her interests outside the Kids & Teens Medical Group office include history, archeology, and playing the Veena instrument. Dr. Bala looks forward to meeting new patients and building strong patient-provider relationships with the whole family.

Rohina Furmuly is a nationally board-certified physician assistant. She practices from the Kids & Teens Medical Group office locations in Northridge, West Hills, Van Nuys, and Pasadena. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science at UCLA, Rohina earned her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at Western University of Health Sciences. She specializes in pediatrics and has substantial experience in internal medicine. Prior to joining Kids & Teens Medical Group, Rohina served the veterans of Ventura County at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic of the Department of Veteran Affairs. She also worked for Pediatric Affiliates and Tarzana Pediatric Medical Groups. Rohina is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. In addition to her clinical work, Rohina has performed epidemiological and clinical research for the UCLA Nuclear Medicine Department, the Kaiser Permanente Research and Evaluation Department, and Amgen, Inc. Her areas of focus have included Alzheimer’s disease and dementia; and she has co-authored two publications. Rohina is an avid traveler and adventurer. When she’s not caring for patients at Kids & Teens Medical Group, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends. Rohina is also actively involved with several charitable organizations.

Susan Proum, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with interests in nutrition, asthma care, and adolescent medicine. She cares for children at the Kids & Teens Medical Group offices in Northridge, Agoura Hills, and West Hills, California.

Dr. Proum is a Los Angeles native who earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She spent years practicing on the east coast before returning to Los Angeles and joining the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group.

Dr. Proum is dedicated to meeting the needs of children through all development stages, from infants to adolescents. She partners with parents to ensure children have the support they need to grow up happy and healthy. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Proum is happy to be back home serving children in the community where she grew up. When not in the office, she’s the happiest cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors.
