Your Patient Centered Medical Home
Kids & Teens Medical Group and Extended Hours Pediatric care were certified by the National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) in 2011.

Attaining PCMH recognition from NCQA is a source of pride for medical practices. But the real value is in what the designation means to patients. Those receiving care from a recognized PCMH get comprehensive, well-coordinated care; ease in making appointments; and short waiting times to see a physician. They develop personal relationships with their healthcare team. Their medical information is collected and stored electronically for instant access by caregivers. Their chronic conditions are closely monitored; follow-up is frequent and self-management is taught and supported. They enjoy convenient online access to their test results, prescription refills and appointment requests. Referrals to specialists are smooth and information transfer immediate.

Recognition, however, is only the beginning of a journey for continuous improvement and cultural transformation. NCQA’s rigorous standards challenge a practice to examine nearly every aspect of its operations. Studies demonstrate that NCAQ recognized medical homes deliver higher quality care and improve service for both patients and physicians.
Insurance
KTMG accepts most insurance, including HMO, PPO and Medi-Cal. Our recommended IPA of choice for HMO insurance is Serendib Healthways, which offers after hours pediatric care without a copay. We also work with Healthcare Partners, Regal Medical Group, and other local IPAs.

We also work with supplemental government programs like Child Health & Disability Prevention (CHDP) to help bring care and additional resources to eligible patients.

Although insurance programs and coverage may change, we will always strive to help your children access quality compassionate care. So, if you have any questions about using your insurance coverage or supplemental programs with KTMG, please call us at 818-361-5437. We are here to help.

If you have HMO insurance and have questions about a referral, please contact your IPA (Regal Medical Group, Healthcare Partners, EHX IPA, Angeles IPA, etc.) directly as KTMG has no control over the HMO referral process.
